Hello everyone! we’re going to address some of the most common myths surrounding Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and clarify the reality behind them. It’s important to debunk misinformation to promote an accurate understanding of ASD. Let’s start by challenging some of these myths together!

  1. Myth: People with ASD cannot develop social relationships.
Reality: While they may have difficulties in social interaction, many people with ASD can form meaningful relationships with friends and family.
  2. Myth: All children with ASD are geniuses in math or music.
Reality: While some individuals with ASD may have exceptional skills in certain areas, not all have extraordinary talents. ASD is a spectrum and affects each person differently.

Reality: There is no scientific evidence to support this claim. Numerous studies have shown that there is no link between vaccines and ASD.
  4. Myth: People with ASD are violent or dangerous.
